Two buildings destroyed, one damaged in another Lewiston downtown fire on Monday

I awoke this morning to news of another fire in downtown Lewiston, Maine.. This is the 3rd major fire in exactly one week to the day.
I don't live in the downtown area where these are happening (luckily),however this does seem like de'javu. Back in the mid to late 90's we had similar occurrences with many other buildings that are now gone. Some of the areas have been rebuilt with newer housing & other lots were made into extra parking or small city garden spots.
Last Monday April 30th was the start of a long week for the people of Lewiston, Maine. 75 People were homeless at the end of the day & left with nothing. On Friday we had another downtown fire with the loss of more buildings & more homeless people. The homeless rate of these 2 fires last week has left the city with approximately 200 people with no homes, personal belongings, loss of memories & pets.
The Red Cross needs funds & donations badly. The Lewiston Fire department is exhausted.
Not only did we have those fires to contend with we also had about 9 acres of wildfire burning last week too. These firemen have put their lives on the line for a week now, no rest, exhaustion & yet they continue to do the utmost amazing job possible.

In the first fire a 12 year old boy was named & charged , the second fire they say was another 12 year old boy also they don't know as of yet if there is a connection.

Today's fire has yet to be investigated as they are still on scene checking and watching for hot spots.

Do we have an arsonist? Did 2 12 year old boys really do all this damage? This has too stop someone is going to die in one of these fires.
I just have to hope that this all comes to an end soon.
The people of Lewiston Maine are living on edge, scared & uneasy wondering if they are next, this is NO way to live.

A very sad day in Lewiston Maine, everyone is safe and no major injuries. Smoke filled the city for hours, was so smokey that even the Doppler radar on WGME TV picked up the smoke as it traveled in a northerly direction thru the state.

I had just got the coffee brewing my eyes aren't even focusing yet and my brain still is half asleep when I get this surprise phone call. When I say surprise it wasnt who called but the content of the call....hurry up mom we are getting marries today!!!  Like right away...Ok I said. I go in to wake up Dave and I said you got  to get up now we are going to a wedding.
He was dazed and confused... He for some reason looked out window and I said yup your right..they are gettimg married today now!!!    So we rushed around in excitement and got ready. Our baby is going to get married!!!!!  We met them at city hall so they could get license Jake seemed excited but nerveous too
Tiffany was very nervous...dad and I excited!! 
This is the type of ceremony they wanted no fancy wedding just dad and I... Joining them in their commitment to each other. To all of us it was just beautiful!!!!

I Love my Children... however if I had known that being a Grandmother was so much fun, I would have done this first.
This is just a few pictures of my Granddaughters and myself, usually I am the photographer so I am not in too many photos.
I get to spend almost everyday with my granddaughters,which is so awesome being able to watch all the new things that happen as they grow. From First steps to talking & potty training and so much more.

Gramdchildren are way more fun!!!!
I get to be a kid again and play with dolls, color, playing outside, & whatever more that is to come I will be there to see them learn and be able to teach them at the same time.
They are 2 & 3 years old and it definatly keeps me Living & Loving Life!!!!

Starting a new life ... 29 years ago

January 6th 1984 The starting of a NEW LIFE!!!!!

So today is a special day every year and has been for 29 years. Why is today so special well I married my soul mate 29 years ago today, which was the start of a new life for us.

It was my first marriage (only marriage) and his 2nd marriage, he already had a 2 year old boy when we met up again, he was going through a rough divorce. 
I had known him in high school and had known he had married ( I was crushed).

He was my true high school sweetheart, he was a senior I was a freshman so back then seniors didn't date freshmen that was unheard of. 
Lucky for me at some point that year (1978) he got transferred to my hometown and rode on the same school bus, I was one of the few last stops the bus made & he was a first pick up. Everyday I got on  the bus I had a seat already waiting for me, he always saved me a seat. It always started my day out so happy to see him.  

Of course he graduated, got married, had a child, life moved on for him while I was still in High school. I graduated in 1981 started working and learning about life. 

In the summer of 1982 (July 19th) by then I had moved out of my parents home, to another town with a friend.  On this day we went to her brothers & sister in laws for a supper, well guess who else arrived.... YES my high school crush!!
